The use of anatomic-pathological research techniques in the study of cardiovascular diseases: Autoptic findings, histological techniques, immune-histochemical procedures, confocal optical microscopy, morphometry, serial histological study of conduction tissue, transmission and scanning electron microscopy. Diagnostic methods using biological and molecular genetics applied to pathological anatomy. Cardiovascular surgery, Mechanical assistance, artificial heart. Valve prosthesis and tissue engineering.
